Rosemary Brinkley Business and Finance Scholarship
For us, it's an honor to support education and the Business and Finance Programs within the school systems we serve with an Educational Systems Federal Credit Union scholarship.
About the Rosemary Brinkley Business and Finance Program Scholarship
Rosemary Brinkley served on the Board of Directors of Educational Systems FCU for over 40 years. During her tenure, she led the Credit Union through a period of tremendous financial growth, while setting a positive example for members, employees and volunteers. We're awarding a $3,000 Rosemary Brinkley Business and Finance Scholarship to one graduating high school senior from each of the counties we serve including: Anne Arundel County, Calvert County, Charles County, Montgomery County, Prince George's County, St. Mary's County and Talbot County. Plus, one scholarship for one student outside the seven counties we serve.*
Applicants must be a member of Educational Systems FCU
Minimum 2.75 cumulative GPA
Enrolled in a business or finance curriculum
Graduating high school senior
Under the age of 21
How to submit your application
To submit your application, email the items listed below to firstname.lastname@example.org by March 14, 2018. In the email subject line, include Rosemary Brinkley Business and Finance Scholarship. An application package that is incomplete or not emailed or postmarked on or before March 14, 2018 will not be considered. Educational Systems FCU employees, volunteers and their family members are not eligible to apply.
Application package must include:
Answer one of the following essay questions. Essay must be typed, Times New Roman, 12 pt, double spaced, with one inch margins. Essay must be between 250-500 words. Submit your essay in a PDF document without your name listed on the document.
Essay option one
Discuss how your interest in business or finance developed. Use examples sush as volunteer work, part-time jobs,
internships or mentor influence. Explain what you gained from these experiences.
Essay option two
Articulate the goals you have established for yourself and your efforts to accomplish these goals. Give at least one
specific example that relates to your program of study and how the Rosemary Brinkley Business and Finance Scholarship will help you achieve your goals.

* Anne Arundel, Calvert, Charles, Montgomery, Prince George’s, St. Mary’s and Talbot. Plus, one award will be designated for a student outside of the seven counties previously mentioned. Exceptions for membership eligibility may apply for applicants from counties outside of the seven counties we serve.
